Some of the world's leading women gathered in Washington, DC for Fortune magazine's Most Powerful Women Summit. Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), pictured, above, the youngest woman elected to the House of Representatives, told the audience, "Embrace your authenticity and your unique perspective as a woman."

First Lady Michelle Obama was also there, speaking on the importance of education. "Education is the single most important stepping stone to power to equality."

Something very powerful happens when a group of women convene to discuss a problem in our world—you leave inspired and determined to do more for our communities. In just a few weeks, some of MHC's leading women will be gathering on campus for A Seat at the Table: Women Leading in Public Service Summit, where alumnae, students, faculty, and staff connect to address the reality that in the world of public service, women remain underrepresented at the decision-making table.
