Choose Library & Archives

Every aspect of Williston Library — one of the most beautiful campus libraries in the country — is central to a student’s Mount Holyoke education. In addition to housing extensive print collections in the humanities, social sciences and sciences, the library provides access to digital resources from anywhere on campus or around the world.

Archives and Special Collections preserve our rich history with more than 10,000 linear feet of unpublished manuscript materials and 13,500 published volumes. Varied spaces — the MEWS, the Stimson Room, the main floor — provide the perfect setting for research, reflection and collaboration.

By directing your gift to Library & Archives, you are investing in:

  • Access to more than 6,000 journal titles and 800,000 physical volumes, plus thousands of online resources.
  • Expansion of collections to reflect developments in the disciplines and respond to students’ evolving needs.
  • Care and preservation of rare books and ephemera, ranging from manuscripts and papyri fragments to diaries and valentines.
  • Special equipment and technology for students and faculty to borrow, including laptops, projectors, cameras and video equipment.

Preserving Mount Holyoke’s past, present and future matters to us. What matters most to you?

All gifts to The Mount Holyoke Fund have a direct effect on every aspect of the Mount Holyoke experience and provide immediate support to the College’s most critical needs.
