"MHC has made a huge difference to my life; I hope it will do so for future generations of young women. I hope my gift will be put to good use, to increase students' engagement with the real world through the Lynk. Over the course of my college years, with the help of the Career Development Center and a very supportive alumnae network, I took on a different internship every summer, which was helpful for my career advancement after graduation. Lastly, I hope we make efforts to improve MHC's college ranking and maintain the prestige of the school!" – Sixuan Chen '06

Soraya Sarhaddi Nelson has built a career around uncovering stories in some of the most dangerous corners of the world. But even then, after working for eight hours to convince her captors she was in fact a journalist, the National Public Radio international correspondent was undeterred. She continued to tell stories that otherwise would be untold.
