Leadership is an inherently social endeavor, rooted in listening and conversing, gathering and collaborating, envisioning and engaging. While the College has long cultivated leaders of thought and action, we are thrilled to introduce a new hub that is specially dedicated to the social aspects of the endeavor.
The Weissman Student Commons, which was dedicated earlier this fall, is the cocurricular extension of the Weissman Center for Leadership. The Center, founded in 1999, promotes the knowledge, vision, voice and skills necessary to drive purposeful change. Located on the third floor of the newly renovated Blanchard Hall within the Community Center, the Weissman Student Commons now offers students — across disciplines and interests — a new space to collaborate and flex their leadership skills in a highly visible and experiential way.
We extend deep gratitude to Harriet L. Weissman ’58 and Paul M. Weissman for their generosity and commitment to the College.
